DEATH WITH DIGNITY 2024 PRECINCT CAUCUS RESOLUTION
Whereas: we all face end-of-life decisions that become more important as we retiree and grow older;
Whereas: some states other than Minnesota have passed various options, considerations, and provisions for seniors in state law allowing death with dignity decisions;
Whereas: terminally ill people with a life expectancy of six months or less and who are mentally competent and capable of choosing end-of-life with dignity should be allowed to do so under Minnesota state law;
Whereas: the MN state legislature in the 2023 session discussed the issue in HF1930 and SF 1813 but took no final action on the bills;

Therefore be it resolved that the Minnesota DFL conveys strong support for the end-of-life issue as outlined in HF 1930 and SF 1813.
